about KARAOKE HOLE:

In the process, I figured to write is to have a taste for words and the non-word. You think AI could stop being so boring or randomness could be serious for a second? I had to dump a massive pool of brain-rot slang right into the algorithm.

I spent a glass sponge’s lifetime collaging all the throws and teaching the code how to sing like there’s a time bomb on our hands. At one point my spirit possessed AI and it started spitting Proust out of a Lana Del Rey for you

You know the song.

You know where the words are supposed to go.
You have heard them a hundred times.

The lyrics travel through bodies, memories, places and moments. And through karaoke you become the traveler, the poet, the yearner.

But you forget.
A word gets replaced by another word.
A melody remains while the language is lost.

KARAOKE HOLE extends this into computational space. By throwing song lyrics into a language model’s latent space (and kicking them around) the algorithm becomes another performer; expected songs mutate into unexpected unpoetics.

Meaning is organized through patterns, mapped through flesh, crossing a distance that becomes loss, revealing the hole at the center of every sound.

So between imitation and invention, knowing and not knowing, language enters the body.

And then every karaoke is a translation.

Cus you don't know the song.
